From precision toolmaker to tiler
I come from a background of high precision engineering in the car industry and trained and worked as a toolmaker for over 15 years. Back in the late 90s, I saw the writing on the wall for the car industry, so I started looking for a new career path with more security. With my eye for detail and my passion for doing a really neat job, I decided that tiling would be the perfect choice. I started my apprenticeship in 1997.
Understand the stresses of renovation
After renovating and working on several of my own houses over the years, I have a real insight into what it means to have tradespeople come in and work on your home. Your home is your castle, and having it renovated can be a stressful time. A major factor is the people that you choose to come into your home, and how they treat it.
As little disruption as possible
My aim is not just to do a brilliant job with your tiling, but to organise my work (and fit into the workflow with the other tradies involved) as smoothly as possible. I also put a lot of time and effort into making sure everything is clean and tidy, and I think about how to work and what to organise for you, so that you and your family can still function well, while your renovation is being completed.
